Administrative Executive Assistant​​
Location/s: Effingham, IL
Description: C.E.F.S. Economic Opportunity Corporation is hiring a full-time Administrative Executive Assistant for the Effingham central office location. Responsibilities include providing administrative support and secretarial duties for the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operations Officer. Duties include preparing reports, handling information requests, and performing administrative clerical functions such as preparing
correspondence, personnel file set-up and maintenance, scheduling meetings, attending agency board meetings to record, take and transcribe minutes, and performing other board governance administrative
tasks. The Administrative Executive Assistant is also the agency’s Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Officer. Duties for the EEO/AA Officer include direct reporting, compliance monitoring, and addressing grievance or conflict resolution procedures. Hourly wage: $20.04.

C.E.F.S. Outreach Program is hiring for the following position:
​​Outreach County Coordinator
Location/s: Montgomery County, IL
Description: C.E.F.S. is seeking an Outreach Coordinator in Montgomery County. Responsibilities include local office oversight and the implementation and management of C.E.F.S. programs within the county, including homeless and housing assistance, emergency food and shelter, budget and housing counseling, tax filing, utility assistance, and senior health insurance counseling. This position will also link programs that the agency operates with other existing county programs and services to ensure clients receive the most comprehensive assistance available. Bachelor’s degree preferred; associate degree required. Must be able to relate and communicate with the target population and community leaders. The base of operations is in Taylor Springs, IL. Hourly wage: $19.91.​​

Outreach Housing Counselor
Location/s: Montgomery County, IL
Description: C.E.F.S. is seeking an Outreach Housing Counselor in Montgomery County. Duties include recruitment, intake, eligibility determination, assessment, counseling, casework, and the development of goals and perspectives to create stability and/or self-sufficiency for families and individuals served through the Outreach Housing Programs. This position assists in liaison work with all persons, parties, and entities, both public and private, as assigned. Duties will require local travel, training in rental and homeownership services, and home visits/inspections. The Housing Counselor also assists with food pantry duties located on-site. This position will require HUD Certification within 6 months of hire. Associate degree and/or experience in social services preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is required. The base of operations is at the Montgomery County Outreach office in Taylor Springs, IL. Hourly wage: $17.03.

C.E.F.S. Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act Program is hiring for the following position:
​​Career Planner
Location/s: Centralia, IL
Description: The C.E.F.S. Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Program (WIOA) is currently hiring for the position of a full-time Career Planner for the Centralia office. This position is responsible for implementing the Adult, Youth, Dislocated Workers, and TAA programs, which include eligibility, assessment, career counseling, and caseload management. Computer, Microsoft Office, and data entry skills are needed. An associate’s degree preferred or experience that has led to the requisite skills and knowledge needed to perform job duties may be considered; a high school diploma or GED is required. Position is Monday through Friday, 8:30 am-4:30 pm. Must meet pre-employment requirements. Hourly wage: $17.87/hr.

C.E.F.S. Head Start Program is hiring for the following positions:
Education Specialist
Location/s: Effingham, IL
Description: Full-time/full-year position. Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education with experience teaching preschool children required. Responsibilities include assisting in the planning, development, and implementation of operational procedures for the Head Start preschool program and staff and center supervision and monitoring. Team leadership, team building, staff training, and development skills are needed. Must be at least 21. Hourly wage range: $25.85-$26.85.

Minimum of a home-based CDA credential or comparable credential or equivalent coursework as part of an associate or bachelor’s degree (120 clock hours with at least 10 clock hours in each of the 8 CDA component areas) and 480 hours experience working with children aged 0-3 years old and obtain a home visitor CDA within 3 months of hire. Hourly wage: $20.31.

C.E.F.S. Central Illinois Public Transit (CIPT) is hiring for the following positions:
​​Transportation Maintenance Manager
Location/s: Base of operation located in Shelbyville, IL
Description: C.E.F.S. Central Illinois Public Transit is hiring a full-time Transportation Maintenance Manager. Responsibilities include maintenance management of the Central IL Public Transit fleet and agency vehicles to ensure compliance with federal, state, and agency requirements and regulations. The Transportation Maintenance Manager will plan, organize, assign, assist, supervise, and evaluate the work of the fleet technicians/mechanics and other workers engaged in maintaining and repairing fleet vehicles. This position is Monday through Friday, 8:30 am-4:30 p,m with base of operations at the Shelbyville maintenance facility. A current and valid Class D license is required. A CDL must be obtained within 6 months of employment. At least 3 years’ experience in automotive fleet repair and maintenance management and staff supervision required; automotive technology certification, experience, and/or training preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required. Must be at least 21 years of age. Hourly wage: $28.70.

Description: Not interested in full or part-time, being a SUBSTITUTE DRIVER might be right for you! Choose the assignments you wish to accept; all we ask is that you are willing to work a minimum of 3 days per month.
