Substitute Meals on Wheels Site Supervisor

Outreach Housing Counselor
Location/s: Taylor Springs, IL
Description: Duties include recruitment, intake, eligibility determination, assessment, counseling, casework, and the development of goals and perspectives to create stability and/or self-sufficiency for families and individuals served through the Outreach Housing Programs, and also assists with food pantry duties located on site. This position will require local travel, training in rental and homeownership services, and home visits/inspections. HUD Certification is required within 6 months of hire. Associate degree and/or experience in social services preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is required. Hourly wage: $17.62 (wage increase after 90 days of employment)
Outreach Resource Specialist
Location/s: Taylor Springs, IL
Description: Join CEFS as an Outreach Resource Specialist and help connect customers with services, referrals, resources, and program support. This position plays an important role in welcoming customers, assisting with intake and benefit enrollment, supporting food pantry operations, and helping individuals access programs that strengthen families and communities. This is a full-time position located at the Montgomery County Outreach Office in Taylor Springs. Responsibilities and duties include greeting customers, answering phones, determining the purpose of visits, and assisting customers in obtaining services; gathering demographic information; completing intake documents; collecting required documentation; entering information into appropriate software programs; providing information and referrals for CEFS programs and community resources, assist with appointment scheduling for LIHEAP, Weatherization, tax assistance, and other programs as directed, support waiting room activities, customer satisfaction surveys, information updates, office maintenance, and job board updates as needed, assist with food distribution and food pantry operations, assist with homeless services, Continuum of Care program activities, homeless diversion tools, Social Security disability applications, and client health screening activities as assigned. WIOA Recruitment Coordinator
Location/s: Effingham, IL
Description: Join CEFS as a WIOA Recruitment Coordinator and help connect youth, adults, and dislocated workers with employment, training, and career opportunities across LWIA 23, with a strong focus on engaging youth ages 16 to 24. This is a full-time position with a base of operations in Effingham.

C.E.F.S. Central Illinois Public Transit (CIPT) is hiring for the following positions:
Public Transit Driver/Driver Trainer
Location/s: Effingham, IL
Description: Central Illinois Public Transit is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Driver/Driver Trainer to maintain driver excellence and ensure best practices are in place. This position develops and implements driver training, conducts annual competency testing, maintains training documentation, and provides fill-in driving support for public transit services as needed. This position will be based in Effingham but will require travel to all counties within the CEFS service area. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: develop, implement, and document group and on-site driver trainings; train drivers on safety practices, customer service, record keeping, preventative maintenance, emergency procedures, passenger assistance, accident reporting, professional conduct, proper use of seat belts, life operation, and other driver handbook requirements; conduct annual driver competency testing; observe drivers on routes, recommendations on retraining; maintain driver training records, track testign performance; assist drivers and maintenance staff in obtaining required CDL and passenger endorsement requirements; serve as substitue driver and provide safe, reliable transportation for the general public while obecying traffic laws. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED, multi-passenger transportation driving experience, and current valid Class C CDL with passenger endorsement preferred or willing to obtain within 3 months. Hourly wage: $20.20 (wage increase after 90 days of employment)
Public Transit Drivers (Full-Time, Part-Time, and Substitutes)
Location/s: Effingham, Shelby, and Montgomery counties
Description: No experience needed, will train. Benefits for full-time drivers include health, dental, vision, vacation, flex, and sick time, life insurance, paid holidays, and 403(b) tax-deferred annuity plan. (Not interested in being a full-time driver, substitute drivers will be considered. Choose the assignments you wish to accept; all we ask is that you are willing to work a minimum of 3 days per month.) Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid Class D license. Must be willing to obtain CDL during employment with agency-provided training and support.
