Outreach Resouce Specialist

Location/s: Montgomery County

Description: As part of the Outreach team, the Resource Specialist will assist with waiting room activities, including answering phones and greeting customers, scheduling, and office maintenance. This full-time/full-year position may work directly with customers, under the guidance of other Outreach staff in defined areas including information and referrals, benefit enrollment, and assistance with the tax program. Associate degree preferred; high school diploma or GED required.

C.E.F.S. Weatherization Program is hiring for the following position:

Housing Weatherization Assessor/Final Inspector

Location/s: Open to all service areas

Description: Full-time position with flexible 10-hour workdays and issuance of an agency vehicle. Responsibilities include performing initial home weatherization assessments and quality control final inspections, identifying and coordinating work orders and repairs, entering and tracking assessments and work from initiation to completion, etc. Paid training is provided to obtain the required certifications for the position. Associate degree in applied engineering, construction trades, or related field is preferred although experience which has led to the requisite skills and knowledge needed to perform required duties may be considered in place of a degree; a high school diploma or equivalent is required. Must meet pre-employment requirements.

Teacher

Location/s: Litchfield Center

Description: School year position, 40-hrs./wk. M-F. Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related coursework equivalent to a major in early childhood education and one year of experience teaching preschool children preferred; Associate's degree in early childhood education required. Must be at least 21.

 

Teacher Assistants

Location/s: Sullivan, Taylorville, and Vandalia centers

Description: School year position, 40-hrs./wk. M-F. Associate's degree in early childhood education or related coursework equivalent to a major in early childhood education and one year of experience teaching preschool-age children preferred; must possess or be willing to obtain a preschool (3-5) CDA credential with a high school diploma or equivalent required. Must be at least 19.

Classroom Aides

Location/s: Effingham, Pana, and Taylorville centers

Description: School year position, 40-hrs./wk. M-F. High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be at least 18. Experience working with preschool-age children preferred.

Bus Driver

Location/s: Taylorville

Description: School year positions. High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have a CDL school bus license or able to obtain a school bus eligibility receipt from the Secretary of State driver license facility by which to obtain a CDL school bus license. Must be at least 21.

Bus Monitor

Location/s: Shelbyville and Vandalia centers

Description: School year positions, 40 hrs./wk. M-F. High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be at least 18.

Home-Based Education Specialist

Location/s: Effingham

Description: Full-year position, 40-hrs./wk. M-F. Office location in Effingham Central Office. Bachelor's degree in early childhood education with experience working with infants, toddlers, and/or preschoolers. Must obtain and maintain Parents as Teachers (PAT) certification. Experience working with disadvantaged individuals and/or families and the ability to work with individuals in a non-judgmental manner are needed.

Parent Educator

Location/s: Position covers multiple locations, see description

Description: Shelby/Moultrie County area and Christian County. Full-time, full-year position, 40-hrs./wk. M-F. Providing services to Shelby County and Moultrie County area. Minimum of a home-based CDA credential or comparable credential, or equivalent coursework as part of an associate’s or bachelor’s degree (120 clock hours with at least 10 clock hours in each of the 8 CDA component areas) and 480 hours experience working with children age 0-3 years old and obtain a home visitor CDA within 3 months of hire.

Substitute Bus Drivers

Location/s: Open to all service areas

Description: School year positions. High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have a CDL school bus license or able to obtain a school bus eligibility receipt from the Secretary of State driver license facility by which to obtain a CDL school bus license. Must be at least 21.

Public Transit Drivers

Location/s: Montgomery County

Description: C.E.F.S. Central Illinois Public Transit is looking for Full-time, Part-time, and Substitute Drivers. No experience needed will train. Benefits for full-time drivers include health, dental, vision, personal time, vacation time, sick time, paid holidays, a 403(b) annuity, and a $1000 sign-on bonus. Not interested in full-time, being a substitute might be right for you! Chose the assignments you wish to accept; all we ask is that you be willing to work at minimum 3 days per month. Candidates must have a High School diploma or equivalent and a valid Class D license. C.E.F.S. is a drug-free workplace and applicants must pass a pre-employment screening including a pre-employment drug test. Must be willing to obtain CDL during employment with agency-provided training and support.
