LIHEAP is hiring for the following positions: 

    Intake Worker - We are looking for a pleasant, detailed oriented person to work 8:30-4:30, Monday through Friday in our Flora Outreach office. Candidate will work one-on-one with customers assisting them in applying for utility assistance. This job requires people and computer skills. Must meet pre-employment requirements. High School diploma or equivalent required.

Central Illinois Public Transit is hiring for the following positions: 

    Part Time Driver - Central Illinois Public Transit of C.E.F.S. is looking for a Part Time Driver in Clay County. No experience needed, will train. Benefits include a generous paid time off package, holidays, and 403(b) annuity program. Candidates must have a High School diploma or equivalent and a valid Class D license. C.E.F.S. is a drug free workplace and applicants must pass a pre-employment screening including pre-employment drug test. CDL will be required during employment with agency training provided.

    Full Time Driver - Central Illinois Public Transit of C.E.F.S. is looking for a Full Driver in Shelby County/Christian County. Driver base will be Shelbyville or Pana depending on selected applicant. No experience needed, will train.     Operations Manager - Central Illinois Public Transit of C.E.F.S. is looking for a detail-oriented candidate with supervisory experience to serve as Operations Manager.  This position will be accountable for ensuring that the daily operations of CIPT are run efficiently, improving organizational processes and workflow and ensuring quality of transportation data. Responsibilities will include record keeping, quality review, staff supervision and development, monitoring route scheduling and development to optimize efficiency. Operations Manager will have knowledge of all Federal, State and Local transit rules and regulations, C.E.F.S. and CIPT policies and complete understanding of ITS software. The position will operate under the direction of the Program Director but must have the ability to work without direct supervision and promote a culture that encourages top performance and high morale. Position is full time, Monday through Friday and includes an on-call rotation. Base location is Effingham, IL.  Benefits include a generous paid time off package including vacation, sick and personal time, paid holidays, 403(b) annuity program, group life insurance and group health insurance including dental and vision. Candidates are required to have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in operations management, human resources or business with three to five years’ experience in operations or logistics preferred.  A minimum of two years supervisory experience is required.  Knowledge of Excel, Word and similar software applications is required. Head Start Program - Head Start is hiring for the following positions:     

    Substitute Bus Driver/Monitor - position available. High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have valid driver's license, a CDL bus license, and/or able to obtain a school bus eligibility receipt from the Secretary of State driver license facility, and be at least age 21. Must meet pre-employment requirements.

    ERSEA Clerk - This position works out of the Central Office in Effingham. Maintain an efficient and effective record-keeping system to provide accurate and timely information regarding enrollment, attendance, recruitment, and non-federal share. Computer data entry and filing skills required. Full time/full year position. Associates degree preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required.

    Bus Driver/Bus Monitor - This position is open for the C.E.F.S. Head Start 0-5 Program center in Shelbyville, IL. 40-hrs./wk. M–F. HS diploma or equivalent required. Must be age 18 for monitor position. Must have a valid driver’s license and a CDL Bus License and/or able to obtain a School Bus Eligibility Receipt from the Secretary of State Driver License Facility and be at least age 21 for driver position.

    Bus Driver/Bus Monitor - This position is open for the C.E.F.S. Head Start 0-5 Program center in Pana, IL. 40-hrs./wk. M–F. HS diploma or equivalent required. Must be age 18 for monitor position. Must have a valid driver’s license and a CDL Bus License and/or able to obtain a School Bus Eligibility Receipt from the Secretary of State Driver License Facility and be at least age 21 for driver position.

    Teacher Assistants - Shelbyville and Vandalia centers. School year positions, 40-hrs./wk. M-F. Associates degree in Early Childhood Development preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required and must be willing to obtain a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential upon hire. Must be at least age 21.

    Classroom Aide - Taylorville Center. School year position, 40-hrs./wk. M-F. High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be at least age 18.
