Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Program (WIOA) is hiring for the following position:

Full-time Career Planner - Full-time Career Planner in the Olney office. Potential candidates must have good communication skills, experience working with computers, and the ability to relate to and motivate others. Job duties include eligibility determination, assessment, career counseling, and caseload management for the Adult, Dislocated Worker, Youth, and TAA programs. Associates Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Business, Social Work, or related field is preferred although experience which has led to the requisite skills and knowledge needed to perform job duties may be considered in place of a degree. High School diploma required.

C.E.F.S. Head Start Program is hiring for the following positions: 

Head Start Teacher - Sullivan Center. School year position, 40-hrs./wk. M-F. Bachelor degree in early childhood education or related coursework equivalent to a major in early childhood education and one year experience teaching preschool children preferred; Associates degree in early childhood education required. Must be at least 21.

Parent Educator - Clay County area. Full-time, full year positions, 40-hrs./wk. M-F. Associates degree in early childhood education or an associates degree in a related field with 120 clock hours of early childhood education and principles of adult learning covering the growth and development of children birth to age five required.

Independent Registered Nurse Consultant - Our program is seeking a Registered Nurse providing services through an independent contract. Responsibilities include developing individualized care plans for children with chronic illnesses as needed; make appropriate referrals to community health resources, agencies, and services to families needing follow-up care; conduct a home visit to each newborn within 2-weeks after the infant's birth to ensure the well-being of both the mother and child; Provide needed health education and training to parents and staff; confer with staff and parents about health-related issues as needed; provide expertise, guidance, and support to C.E.F.S. Head Start 0-5 Program's managers/specialists in specialty area(s); participate in the coordination and/or completion of the program's annual self-assessment and federal review; establish and maintain relationships and collaborations with the medical and dental communities and other community agencies and partners; serve on the Health Services Advisory Committee to guide in the planning, operation, and evaluation of health services. Mileage will be reimbursed. Consultant will be responsible for his/her own state and federal income, Social Security, and unemployment taxes. C.E.F.S. Head Start 0-5 Program will file the required IRS form 1099. Consultant must provide C.E.F.S. Head Start 0-5 Program proof of professional license and professional liability insurance coverage through the issuance of a certificate of insurance, listing the Agency as a certificate holder and/or as an additional insured, prior to contractual services being initiated. 

C.E.F.S. Outreach is hiring for the following positions: 

Intensive Case Manager (Moultrie County) - C.E.F.S. Outreach Department has an opening for an Intensive Case Manager. This position will serve a key role in the success of our HUD Rapid Re-Housing Program, a program designed to assist individuals and families in housing related matters.  Job duties will include intensive case management including budgeting, goal setting, life skills, and developing program exit plans; home visits; home inspections; and interactions with Landlords. This person will also be required to document all interaction with program participants and case management activities into a specified software program in a timely manner. Location of home office will be based in Moultrie County Outreach Office. This position will travel to Shelby and Moultrie counties to provide services to all HUD Rapid Re-Housing participants. An agency vehicle will be provided for this travel. Bachelor’s in Social Work, Sociology, or related field is preferred. Associate degree in a Human Services related field is required. This position will require HUD Certification within 18 months of hire.

 

Housing Counselor (Moultrie County) - C.E.F.S. Moultrie County Housing Counselor position available.  Duties may include recruitment, intake, eligibility determination, assessment, counseling, casework, and the development of client’s individual goals and perspectives in becoming self-sufficient.  The Counselor also assists in liaison work for the program with all persons, parties and entities, both public and private as assigned.  Duties will require travel, training in homeownership services and require home visits/inspections. Associate’s required, Bachelor’s preferred.

Central Illinois Public Transit (CIPT) is hiring for the following position: 

Operations Manager - Central Illinois Public Transit of C.E.F.S. is looking for a detail-oriented candidate with supervisory experience to serve as Operations Manager.  This position will be accountable for ensuring that the daily operations of CIPT are run efficiently, improving organizational processes and workflow and ensuring quality of transportation data. Responsibilities will include record keeping, quality review, staff supervision and development, monitoring route scheduling and development to optimize efficiency. Operations Manager will have knowledge of all Federal, State and Local transit rules and regulations, C.E.F.S. and CIPT policies and complete understanding of ITS software. The position will operate under the direction of the Program Director but must have the ability to work without direct supervision and promote a culture that encourages top performance and high morale. Position is full time, Monday through Friday and includes an on-call rotation. Mechanic (Shelby County) - Mechanic needed for Central Illinois Public Transit at our maintenance facility in Shelbyville, Illinois.  Primary function of this position is to maintain, repair, and service a variety of public transit vehicles and related equipment.  Associates degree in Automotive Technology, Vocational Education, or related field preferred although experience which has led to the requisite skills and knowledge needed to perform the above may be considered in place of degree. C.E.F.S. is hiring for the following position: 

Energy Efficiency Intern:  The Energy Efficiency Intern will assist the LIHEAP Director with daily activities of the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), Emergency Furnace project, and long term energy assistance to disable and low income residents. Intern will work out of the Effingham Office, 32 hours per week for 12 weeks. The Energy Efficiency Intern will assist with vendor contracts, complete enrollment applications, plan and develop attention getting social media materials. The Energy Efficient Intern will be provided the opportunities to job shadow the Weatherization and Outreach staff to gather an overall understanding of services available to low income clients. Intern will attend Ameren and Agency trainings. If COVID restrictions are lifted, Intern will assist with Energy Efficiency workshops. Intern will go through pre-employment testing and background screening and be ready to work on May 24th. 20% of Intern’s time will be spent on mentoring and career opportunities with Ameren. Site Supervisor (Effingham): This position is a great employment opportunity for someone who wants to work three days a week.
