Central Illinois Public Transit is hiring for the following position:

Full-Time Drivers (Montgomery County) Central Illinois Public Transit of C.E.F.S. is looking for two Full Time Drivers in Montgomery County.  No experience needed, will train. Benefits include, vacation time, sick time, holidays and 403(b) annuity program. Candidates must have a High School diploma or equivalent and a valid Class D license. C.E.F.S. is a drug free workplace and applicants must pass a pre-employment screening including pre-employment drug test. Must be willing to obtain CDL during employment with agency provided training and support.

Part-time Driver (Christian County) Central Illinois Public Transit of C.E.F.S. is looking for a Part-Time Driver in Christian County.  No experience needed, will train. Full-Time Transit Dispatcher (Effingham): Central Illinois Public Transit is looking to fill a Dispatcher position based in the Effingham Central Illinois Public Transit office. Starting pay is $11.53 hour. Benefits include vacation time, sick time, personal time, paid holidays, health insurance and 403(b) annuity program. Hours are Monday through Friday /standard dispatch shift will be 12:00pm to 8:00pm with variable shifts between 6:00am to 8:00pm as needed. This position includes the option to receive driver training to serve as a backup driver, once training complete wage increases to $12.53 hour. Applicants must possess a High School Diploma or Equivalent, Associate Degree preferred. Responsible for dispatching a seven-county public transit service area on a 40 hour per week basis. Full-time Transit Drivers (Montgomery County): Central Illinois Public Transit of C.E.F.S. is looking for two Full Time Drivers in Montgomery County. No experience needed, will train. Starting pay is $12.53 hour. Benefits include sick time, paid holidays and 403(b) annuity program with vacation time available after six months employment. Position is located out of our Taylor Springs, IL office. Shift is Monday-Friday, 40 hours a week, with variable hours between 5:30 A.M. and 6:30 P.M

Meals on Wheels of C.E.F.S. is hiring for the following positions: 

Site Supervisor (Effingham) - Enjoy being around people…..Great Opportunity for someone who wants to work three days a week Monday, Tuesday Wednesday. The Meals on Wheels of C.E.F.S. is currently hiring a Site Supervisor in Effingham. Position is Part time 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must meet pre-employment requirements.

C.E.F.S. Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is hiring for the following position:

Part-time RSVP Coordinator - This position is in Clay County. Potential candidates must have good communication skills, experience working with computers and enjoy working with the 55+ population. Job duties include recruitment of volunteers, working with area non-profit organizations to fill volunteer job vacancies, establish new volunteer opportunities within the county, plan and host volunteer recognition events and complete monthly reports. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Illinois driver’s license and meet pre-employment requirements.

Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Program (WIOA) is hiring for the following position:

Full-time Career Planner - Full-time Career Planner in the Olney office. Potential candidates must have good communication skills, experience working with computers, and the ability to relate to and motivate others. Job duties include eligibility determination, assessment, career counseling, and caseload management for the Adult, Dislocated Worker, Youth, and TAA programs. Associates Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Business, Social Work, or related field is preferred although experience which has led to the requisite skills and knowledge needed to perform job duties may be considered in place of a degree. High School diploma required.

C.E.F.S. Head Start Program is hiring for the following positions: 

Head Start Teacher - Louisville and Vandalia centers. School year positions, 40-hrs./wk. M-F. Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education preferred; associates degree in early childhood education or related coursework equivalent to a major in early childhood education and one year experience teaching preschool age children required. Must be at least 21.

Head Start Teacher Assistant – Altamont center. School year position, 40-hrs./wk. M-F. Associates degree in early childhood education or related coursework equivalent to a major in early childhood education and one year experience teaching preschool age children preferred; must possess or willing to obtain a preschool (3-5) CDA credential with high school diploma or equivalent required. Must be at least 19.

 

Head Start Classroom Aide - Taylorville and Vandalia centers. School year positions, 40-hrs./wk. M-F. High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be at least 18. Experience working with preschool age children preferred.

Family Advocate – Fayette County.  Full-time, full year positions, 40 hrs./wk. M-F. Associates degree in social work, human services, family services, counseling, or a related field preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required with at least three (3) years’ experience working with children and families.

 

Data Entry/File Clerk – Effingham central office. Full time/full year position, 40-hrs./wk. M-F. High school diploma or equivalent required with competency in computerized data management required.

Bus Drivers - Vandalia and Effingham centers. School year positions, 40-hrs./wk. M–F. High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have a CDL school bus license or able to obtain a school bus eligibility receipt from the Secretary of State driver license facility by which to obtain a CDL school bus license. Must be at least 21.

Bus Monitor – Effingham center. School year position, 40-hrs./wk. M-F. High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be at least 18.

Substitute Bus Monitor - School year positions. High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be at least 18.

C.E.F.S. LIHEAP is hiring for the following positions: 

LIHEAP Intake (Fayette County) - Are you looking for a challenging, fast paced, detail-oriented job with no nights or weekends?  Do you like helping people?  We are looking for a pleasant, detailed oriented person to fill a seasonal position in our Fayette Outreach Office in Vandalia.  The hours are 8:30-4:30, Monday through Friday.  The candidate will work one-on-one with customers assisting them in applying for utility assistance.  This job requires people and computer skills.  Must meet pre-employment requirements.  High School diploma or equivalent required.

C.E.F.S. Outreach is hiring for the following positions: 

Housing Counselor - C.E.F.S. Fayette County Housing Counselor position available. Duties may include recruitment, intake, eligibility determination, assessment, counseling, casework, and the development of individual’s goals and perspectives in becoming self-sufficient. The Counselor also assists in liaison work for the program with all persons, parties and entities, both public and private as assigned. Housing Counselor also assists with food pantry operations which requires lifting. Travel for training, home visits and housing inspections is required. This position will require HUD Certification within 18 months of hire.

Homeless Intensive Case Manager (Effingham) - This position will serve a key role in the success of our HUD Rapid Re-Housing Program, a program designed to assist homeless individuals and families. Job duties will include intensive case management including budgeting, goal setting, life skills, and developing program exit plans; home visits; home inspections; and interactions with Landlords. This person will also be required to document all interaction with program participants and case management activities into a specified software program in a timely manner. Location of home office will be based in Effingham County Outreach Office. This position will travel to Clay and Effingham counties to provide services to all HUD Rapid Re-Housing participants. An agency vehicle will be provided for this travel. Bachelor’s in Social Work, Sociology, or related field is preferred. Associates degree in a Human Services related field is required. This position will require HUD Certification within 18 months of hire.

Outreach Coordinator (Moultrie County) - The Outreach Coordinator is responsible for local office oversight and the implementation and management of C.E.F.S. programs which includes a food pantry. Must be able to relate and communicate with the target population and community leaders. Bachelor’s Degree preferred, Associates Degree required.

Associate’s required, Bachelor’s preferred.
