IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Starting Wednesday, April 15, 2026, Dispatch hours will be 6:00 am to 4:00 pm,

Monday - Friday, until further notice.

This is a temporary change, and we will let everyone know when regular hours for Dispatch start again.

Reduced Fare ID Card

As of May 1, 2024, seniors will need a reduced fare card to ride under the senior reduced fare program and persons with disabilities will be eligible for a $15 monthly pass.

OPEN TO EVERYONE!

Currently serving Effingham County. All vehicles are wheelchair accessible and ADA compliant.

The goal of Central Illinois Public Transit Program is to provide reliable and timely transportation to residents of each county we serve by ensuring punctuality, accessibility, courtesy, cleanliness, serviceability, and safety at all times to our riders.

Riders are encouraged to schedule trips at least one working day in advance (same day service is available if space permits) and need to be ready for pick-up 15 minutes prior to the scheduled pick-up time. Cancellations must be made at least two hours prior to pick-up time.

Service is unavailable on New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Service is limited on MLK Day, President's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran's Day, and the day after Thanksgiving.

CASH FARE STRUCTURE

Children 0-5 ride free with paying adult
Children 6-12 are $2 per one-way trip, $4 per round trip
Seniors ride for a suggested donation (Need to apply for a Reduced Fare ID Card.)

Monthly Pass

Monthly Pass is $35
Monthly Pass for a person with a disability is $15 (Need to apply for a Reduced Fare ID Card.)

All pass purchases are non-refundable.

Out of county trips $1 per mile as availability allows. Medicaid, Modivcare, and MTM payments for medical trips are accepted.

Support for the Central Illinois Public Transit Program comes from the IL Department of Transportation, Area Agency on Aging for Lincolnland, Midland Area Agency on Aging, and the IL Department of Human Services, Bureau of Title XX. Alternative formats of material are available upon request.
